American Internet Dedicated Servers
American Internet is proud to host hundreds of Dedicated servers for its customers. Why go through the trouble and expense of sourcing a server and a maintenance contract and hiring professionals to configure and install it for you? Our dedicated servers take all the load off of you. We do the hard part so you don't have to.
Our dedicated servers are individually built and put through our own Quality Assurance tests. We keep spare parts in stock so that if any hardware fails we can replace it in a timely manner at no charge to you.
Our servers come with a very secure installation of CentOS 4.5 Linux. For those not familiar with CentOS, it is a derivative of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. You can visit their website at www.CentOS.org. If you want a different OS, be it another Linux distribution or a BSD derivative we can get configure it at a rate of $65 an hour (Please call for a quote - each distro has different time requirements).
All servers are monitored by MRTG and access is given to each customer. This provides you with valuable statistics about your bandwidth and will allow you to determine your traffic peaks, lows, and usage as well as any service interruptions.
Additionally, we have an active monitoring system that watches each server 24/7/365. It will actively notify our on call administrator when something isn’t right. This is an additional option to add to your system and well worth it. ($4.95 a month).
